ArchitectLocation: Remote

Your Responsibilities:

Lead the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance E-Commerce solutions using the commercetools platformTranslate client business requirements into comprehensive technical solutionsProvide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycleEnsure that solutions align with industry best practices and the client's business objectivesConduct architectural reviews and suggest improvements, have a prescriptive approach to problem solvingCollaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverablesDevelop and maintain architectural documentationHave a close eye for NFRs - coming up with solutions with security, performance and scalability at the core.

Oversee integration of third-party systems and services with commercetools

Required Skills and Experience:
Extensive experience with E-Commerce platforms, such as Commercetools, SFCC, Oracle ATG or Hybris.

Deep understanding of MACH architecture principles (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless)Proven expertise in E-Commerce app development, theming customization, and 3rd party integrationsProficiency in extending E-Commerce APIs and utilizing both Frontend and Backend APIsStrong experience in customizing E-Commerce front-end componentsComprehensive knowledge of vanilla E-Commerce feature set, functionality, and configurationCompetent in relevant technologies (e.g., Java, , React, PHP, GraphQL).Familiarity with optimization, debugging tools, and strategies.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworksExperience in project management and leading technical teams

Highly Desirable Skills:

Exposure to SaaS / PaaS - Enterprise B2B software, ERP, and CRM platformsUnderstanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).Experience with integrations to 3rd party systems for Payments, Search, Checkouts, etc.
