Job Title - Matillion ETL Developer

The position of Matillion ETL Developer involves collaborating with the Enterprise IT team to enhance and create data integration solutions that support our Analytics platform.

The ideal candidate must comprehend both business and technical requirements and transform them into data integration designs and outcomes by collaborating with the Snowflake Architect.

The solutions should comply with EDW, Data mart and Dimensional modeling, ETL standards, and guidelines.

The data modeling and integration solutions will be centered around Matillion with Snowflake data warehouses/databases & Qlik for the reporting platform.

Furthermore, the role includes supporting the Agile process concerning Development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

Total Experience: 4 to 8 years

Experience is required in implementing BI projects within a large-scale enterprise data warehouse environment, with at least one successful Matillion with Snowflake implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate and assist in Solution design, collaborating closely with the architecture team
  • Comprehend business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications for Data models and ETL programs
  • Design Logical and Physical data models utilizing Dimensional modeling techniques
  • Develop/Review ETL programs primarily using Matillion, Python, and R
  • Coach and guide the technical team in ETL jobs development
  • Enhance performance & tune Matillion mappings
  • Conduct technical reviews, Data validation & complete end-to-end testing of ETL Objects
  • Conduct Source data analysis and data profiling
  • Create essential documentation adhering to Standards and Update project documentation
  • Support QE in End-to-End testing and provide project status updates to the Project manager regularly
  • Collaborate with the deployment team in code migration across environments
  • Tackle Production issues and address code fixes
  • Must be an excellent Team Player with outstanding verbal and written communication skills
