Position Overview


Seeking a Cloud Architect with a passionfor technology, the ability to understand and assess new technologies andunderstanding their applicability to business.

Responsibilities

As part of a distributed team of subject matter experts, provide System Architecture Services to customers throughout the worldCraft and develop Cloud architecture and infrastructure for Siemens Software SolutionsDesign and conduct application testing methods to drive architecture designs and optimizationCoordinate activities with customers and Cloud Application Services teams for reviews and testingProvide troubleshooting expertise for performance and other issuesDevelop, review and publish System architecture standard methodologiesGood written and verbal communication skillsGood analytic, organization, presentation, customer service and facilitation skillsAbility to capture customer requirements and translate those requirements into short and long-term work

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience


Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience5+ years of IT experienceExperience with designing, consulting, and implementing of Siemens software applications – preferably TeamcenterGood understanding and experience working with IT infrastructure, operating systems and common enterprise database platforms.

Familiar with concepts high availability, dedication, multi-data center systems and hybrid cloud environmentsGeneral skills and awareness of requirements management, defect management, and configuration management processesComfortable with Software Development Life Cycles, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/DeploymentAbility to use a wide variety of opensource technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS and/or Azure preferred)

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Experience with multi-tiered enterprise class applications such as in PLM, MOM etc.
Scripting experience with Javascript, Bash, Python, and other similar languagesKnowledge of web applications, database and file management systems
