What you will doThe Archiving Solution Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining the architecture of archival systems within an organization.

This includes designing solutions to store, manage, and retrieve data for long-term preservation, compliance, and accessibility.

The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to understand business requirements, compliance regulations, and technological constraints to design effective archival solutions.

As an Architect for Archiving Services, you will be responsible for creating a robust and scalable archiving system capable of efficiently handling both structured and unstructured data.


Key ResponsibilitiesArchitectural Design:
Designing scalable and efficient archival systems and processes to meet the organization's data storage, retrieval, and preservation needs. This involves evaluating existing infrastructure, technology platforms, and regulatory requirements to propose optimal solutions.

Solution Development:
Leading the development and implementation of archival solutions, including selecting appropriate software, hardware, and cloud services. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate archival systems with existing IT infrastructure and applications.

Data Management:
Defining data lifecycle management policies and procedures for archival data, including data categorization, retention, and disposal. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and industry-specific standards.

Technical Expertise:
Staying abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in archival systems, data storage, and information management. Providing technical guidance and support to IT teams and stakeholders on archival-related issues.

Risk Management:
Identifying and mitigating risks related to data integrity, security, and accessibility in archival systems. Implementing encryption, access controls, and disaster recovery measures to safeguard archived data against unauthorized access, loss, or corruption.

Documentation and Reporting:
Documenting architectural designs, implementation plans, and operational procedures for archival systems. Generating reports and metrics to track system performance, compliance status, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).What we are looking forRequired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of Information Technology experience
  • 4-5 years of experience in designing and implementing archival solutions in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of archival technologies, including data archiving platforms, storage systems, backup solutions, and content management systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and scripting languages for automation and integration tasks.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements related to data retention, privacy, and security (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications

  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Certified Information Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Qualifications
