Our focus in the Construction and Engineering Global Industries Unit is the development of enterprise-level solutions for project-intensive sectors.

You will become part of a dynamic cross-functional team in the platform sector. We follow an agile development approach (scrum) to drive our product development.

Our processes involve empowered scrum teams, continuous integration, and a strong emphasis on early and regular testing.


Our goal is to create and improve platform services for a Smart Construction Platform for CEGIU products, integrating Oracle Cloud (OCI), security, and scalability.

Role Level - IC4

Responsibilities:


As a member of the platform team, you will actively contribute to developing the application platform for our cloud-based enterprise products.

In this setting, the Principal Applications Engineer will be responsible for problem analysis, proposing and evaluating multiple solutions, and implementing top-notch, industry-leading software.

Responsibilities include,

  • Developing application framework code
  • Participating in code reviews
  • Providing infrastructure support for application teams in specific areas
  • Engaging in technical decision-making
  • Contributing to technical discussions and offering feedback as needed by the team/department
  • Staying updated on the latest technologies (including Oracle technologies) and integrating them into the product lineup
  • Actively mentoring and monitoring teammates' progress
  • Ensuring adherence to development methodology and technical processes

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of software development experience
  • Solid J2EE development background
  • Web development skills (HTML, JavaScript, JQuery) are beneficial
  • Strong expertise in Webtier development using technologies like Spring, JPA
  • Familiarity with Micro Services – Design Principles
  • Preferred experience with Kafka framework
  • Proficiency in working with Docker images and Docker Compose Setup
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes is advantageous
  • Familiarity with Helidon is a plus
  • Proficient in relational database technology and SQL
  • Experience with at least one major J2EE Application Server
  • Ability to write unit tests using Junit
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Perl, Python, Shell, etc.)
  • Solid grasp of OO principles
  • History of quickly adapting to and mastering new technologies
  • Comprehensive understanding of programming best practices
  • Expert problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication of technical, business, and design concepts
  • Track record of delivering high-quality, tested software promptly
