Job Description:


House of D Property Developers Private Limited, an emerging property development startup in Chennai, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Interior Designer with cutting list capabilities to join our innovative team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong focus on creating detailed cutting lists for various materials.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute innovative interior design concepts for residential and commercial properties.
  • Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using industrystandard software.
  • Prepare accurate cutting lists for materials, including wood, metal, glass, and other finishes, to ensure precise fabrication and installation.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project requirements.
  • Source and specify appropriate materials, furnishings, and fixtures to meet the design vision and budget constraints.
  • Oversee the selection and procurement of interior finishes, furniture, and accessories.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure design implementation meets quality standards and project timelines.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, materials, and technologies in interior design and apply them to projects.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers and interns within the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing completed projects.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating cutting lists and detailed fabrication drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and furniture design.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and vendors.
  • Keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics and functionality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification or membership in a recognized interior design association.
  • Experience working on highend residential and commercial projects.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Chennai.
