Detailed JD:

The Java EE Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise Java applications in a service-oriented environment. The developer implements solutions based on technical requirements and design documents, following best practices, and applying design patterns as and when appropriate.

Who are we looking for

4+ years of experience with Spring/JavaEE development.

Working experience with of Enterprise JavaBeans.

Well versed with RESTful web services.

Basic skills in building SQL queries

Understanding of service-oriented architecture.

Understanding of thin-client and thick-client approach

Practical knowledge of design patterns

Knowledge of JPA, Hibernate and ORM concepts.

Experience with Java Message Service API.

Object-Oriented modeling and programming.

Familiarity with dependency management using Maven.

Experience in working with code repositories.

Optional skills

Understanding of Java desktop application (Swing/AWT)

Experience with JavaScript, HTML 5, and CSS 3.

Experience with XML technologies, including XSLT, Xquery, and Xpath.

Good understanding of distributed transaction management.

Experience in performance tuning, caching, clustering, and related concepts.

Experience with non-relational databases (MongoDB).

Understanding of test driven development.

Challenges

Perform problem analysis and propose solutions for given business scenarios.

Interact with projects managers, business analysts, architects and stakeholders throughout the IT Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Develop and maintain enterprise level Java backend/client applications (thick-client architecture)

Deliver high quality, testable, modular, and extensible Java code.

Employ concepts of object-oriented modeling and design.

Provide production support of existing systems.

7+ Years:

As a senior software Engineer you are required to Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. In this role you will utilize your experience to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements

Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments

Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues

Interfaces global teams for requirements analysis and schedule.

Troubleshoots a variety of difficult software problems. Performs software tests on code and enhancements.

Interfaces with external customers regarding software issues.

Develops code and documentation for a variety of difficult software projects, and design and implement bug fixes

Qualification and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree / Master's degree in Engineering with computer science background and 6-10 years of experience

Minimum of 7 years experience in software development with exposure to bug fixing, maintenance, continuous integration releases

Minimum 5 year experience in product software development

Good understanding of Core Java / C++ technologies

Strong experience in Object oriented implementation

Strong experience of experience of working in global teams and handling multiple stakeholders

Exposure to Agile methodologies and tool chain

Business Expertise

Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

Impact

Impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies
