REPORTS TO: Manager EHS & Process Engineering

WORKPLACE TYPE: On-site

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe working conditions and report any unsafe conditions.
  • Prepare and enforce compliance of SOPs for Work Permit systems.
  • Check and test fire fighting systems regularly.
  • Monitor the usage of personal protective equipment by employees.
  • Conduct safety inspections department-wise and address any highlighted concerns.
  • Ensure first aid boxes are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Conduct mock-drills, training programs, and maintain records.
  • Manage EHS documents and records.
  • Supervise operation and maintenance of Effluent treatment plant.

Statutory Compliances

  • Review reports for air ambient, stack, noise, treated water, etc., as per MPCB consent.
  • Ensure compliance with Factory Acts requirements.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective measures.
  • Monitor water consumption and waste disposal as per regulations.
  • Organize Medical Examinations for employees and maintain records.

Training

  • Provide safety training to new recruits and contractors.
  • Evaluate Training Effectiveness periodically.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • BSC/BE/Diploma in Safety.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrate compliance with EHS standards through personal behavior.
  • Show stewardship in EHS compliance.
  • Good knowledge in managing diverse workforces.
