The Broadcom End-User Computing Division focuses on empowering employees to perform at their best, regardless of their location, by providing smart, seamless, and secure experiences.

Currently, we are working on creating Broadcom EUC Anywhere Workspace, an all-encompassing platform that integrates our cutting-edge solutions for virtual applications, desktops, unified endpoint management, and security.

Our goal is to realize our vision of an Autonomous Workspace that utilizes data and artificial intelligence to establish workspaces that can configure, heal, and secure themselves.

By collaborating on this project, we are assisting companies in enhancing both the employee experience and security measures, while simultaneously modernizing IT processes and reducing operational risks.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Design, construct, and uphold reliable, reusable, and testable C++ code on the Windows platform.
  • Create cross-platform Telemetry modules compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Detect and resolve performance and code quality issues.
  • Engage actively with diverse stakeholders - Product Managers, Solution Architects, Security Engineers, and fellow Engineering team members - to define and execute the necessary solutions.
  • Participate comprehensively in all stages of software development, including requirements gathering, design, coding, Test Automation, and debugging.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding best practices.
  • Act as a mentor to junior developers.

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in:
  • Windows System Architecture, Windows Subsystem, and subsystem libraries.
  • Windows Internals covering Processes, Threads, Jobs, Memory Management, and IO systems among others.
  • Understanding of Windows Security model, Object Managers, object directories, handle tables, etc.
  • Knowledge of kernel debugging using Windbg syntax and functions.
  • Experience in dump analysis and troubleshooting on Windows platform using SysInternals tools.
  • Good comprehension of memory management principles.
  • Ability to work with versioning tools like Git.
  • Capability to create unit tests utilizing Google Test.
  • Strong command over C++ with familiarity in C++ 17/20 specifications.
  • Familiarity with C# and .NET 8, AOT is advantageous.

When considering success in this role, the primary performance goals within the initial 6-12 months will include:


In the first 6 weeks:

  • Gain a solid understanding of the DEX Telemetry agent architecture and source code.
  • Compile, build, and test the telemetry agent specifically on Windows.
  • Create unit tests to enhance code coverage.
  • Engage actively in design and code reviews.

In the subsequent weeks:

  • Concentrate on designing and developing new features and components for DEEM.
  • Document your designs thoroughly.
  • Develop, test, and optimize your designs.
  • Establish unit tests achieving over 90% code coverage.
  • Contribute to migrating features from legacy to TLM.
  • Create component test cases.
  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders in different product areas.
