Business Intelligence Analyst

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Business Intelligence Developer works with the broader Technology team along with key operational users and is responsible for supporting the development, enhancement, maintenance, security, and administration of the overall Business Intelligence environment under the guidance of the Lead BI Developer including all Data Stores, Data Movement, and operational reporting tools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPartner with business leaders to understand business challenges and develop functional and elegant analytical products to empower results.
Responsible for the development, enhancement and maintenance of key operational dashboards and reporting tools including the Data Warehouse, self-service reporting, SSRS, and Power BI reports.
Create and maintain data movement and extraction processes utilizing SSIS.Utilize SSRS and Power BI to implement front end dashboards and reports of varying degrees of complexity which provide operational users an effective and elegant method to quickly capture and understand operational status.
Perform ad-hoc requests to gather data for urgent business needs with an eye towards providing that information into self-service reporting engine.
Support Data Warehouse strategy and its integration into the main custom application.Research and recommend practices, processes, and solutions to improve data quality and reporting.
Document BI environment and processes for the broader IT support.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Minimum Required Experience: 4 years relevant experience in the technology streamDesirable Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree

Analytical Skills -to understand Customer requirement document.complex datasets, extracting relevant information, and drawing actionable conclusions.
Self learnerto analyze and interpret complex datasets.numerical analysis and calculations accurately to support data-driven decision-making.consultation to customer/ stakeholder on simple modules/functional area.
Communication Skills –Ability to communicate decently in a comprehensible manner to internal customers as well as stakeholders.Can write basic business documents like emails, reports, files etc. without support from supervisors/seniors.
Is fluent while expressing his thoughts during a telephonic conversation.
Can put across multiple set of thoughts in an organized manner.
Other -Ability to complete tasks and the job assigned within timelines with the available resources.
Manages to complete work within provided timeline with adequate quality.
Should be able to take initiative over and above the routine work.
Technical CompetenciesOther Technical / Computer Skills -3 to 5 years of experience in Software Development and SDLC with a focus on BI solutionsAbility to design compelling reports and data visualizations that paint the picture of operational and financial performanceExpertise in SQL, SSRS, Power BI, DAX and ETLAbility to work well independentlyExcellent verbal and written English communication skillsAbility to self-manage your work list
