Duties andResponsibilities:
  • Testing big dataingestion and aggregation flows using sparkshell and relatedqueries
  • Developing automation framework usingprogramming languages such as Python and automate the big dataworkflows such as ingestion aggregation ETL processingetc
  • Debugging and troubleshooting issues withinthe big data ecosystem
  • Set up the Big dataplatform and Hadoop ecosystem fortesting
  • Define test strategy and write a testplan for the data platform enhancements and new features/servicesbuilt on it.
  • Define the operating proceduresservice monitors and alerts and work with the NOC team to get themimplemented.
  • Responsible for system &performance testing of the data platform andapplications
  • Solve problems establish plans andprovide technical consultation in the design development and testeffort of complex engineering projects
  • Reviewproduct specifications and write test cases develop test plans forassigned areas.
  • Identifies issues and technicalinterdependencies and suggests possiblesolutions.
  • Recreate complex customer andproductionreported issues to determine the root cause and verifythefix.
Qualifications:Primary(Mandatory) Skills:
  • QA with goodhandson experience with Unix/Linux
  • QAexperience in Networking and/or Big Datadomain.
  • Automation experience inPython.
  • QA Methodologiesunderstanding.
Secondary Skills(Good to have):
  • Experience in Bigdata platforms & data analytics testing is anadvantage.
  • The Senior Software Engineer willhave the end to end ownership of features starting from testingautomation (if applicable) deployment and helping with monitoringof thefeature(s)
