Summary of the Staff Database Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Database Developer to join our development unit in India.

As a Senior SQL Server Developer, you will play a critical role in the development of our web-based system, utilizing your expertise in SQL Server and database management.

You will work in an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance and scalable database solutions.

Responsibilities for the Staff Database Engineer

Design and develop efficient and optimized database solutions using SQL Server, ensuring data integrity and securityWrite complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to meet application requirements and optimize database performancePerform database design, data modeling, and normalization to ensure an efficient and scalable database structureConduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and database processes for improved system performanceProvide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and assist in resolving complex database-related issuesParticipate in Agile/Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective meetingsQualifications of the Staff Database Engineer

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience in SQL Server development, with expertise in writing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functionsExperience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data modeling is a plusKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities of the Staff Database Engineer

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to architect and implement scalable and efficient solutionsStrong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teamsFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in a team-oriented environmentStrong understanding of database design principles, normalization, and indexing techniquesProficiency in performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and database processes
