Position Overview:

As an International School Kindergarten / PrePrimary / Early Years Mother Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment for young children in the Kindergarten / Early Years program.

You will serve as a primary caregiver and educator, responsible for fostering the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of students under your care.


Key Responsibilities:

Child Development:
Create a warm, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to the holistic development of children.
Design and implement age-appropriate learning activities and experiences that stimulate curiosity, creativity, and exploration.
Foster the social-emotional development of children, promoting positive relationships, empathy, and self-regulation skills.

Curriculum Planning and Implementation:


Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum based on best practices in early childhood education, incorporating play-based learning, inquiry-based activities, and hands-on experiences.

Plan and deliver engaging lessons, incorporating diverse teaching methodologies and resources to cater to individual learning styles and needs.
Integrate language, literacy, numeracy, science, social studies, and creative arts into the curriculum to support holistic development.

Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
Conduct ongoing observation and assessment of children's progress and developmental milestones, using formal and informal assessment tools.

Maintain accurate records of student assessments, observations, and progress reports, and communicate with parents/guardians regarding their child's development and achievements.


Parent Communication and Engagement:
Establish and maintain open, collaborative communication with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on their child's learning, progress, and well-being.
Conduct parent-teacher conferences, workshops, and events to foster parental involvement and support in their child's education and development.

Classroom Management:
Implement positive behavior management strategies and classroom routines to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Set clear expectations for behavior and conduct, modeling and reinforcing positive social skills and values.
Manage transitions, routines, and daily activities effectively, maximizing learning opportunities and minimizing disruptions.

Professional Development:


Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in early childhood education, curriculum development, child development theory, and best practices.

Participate in team meetings, collaborative planning sessions, and professional learning communities to share insights, resources, and best practices with colleagues.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
Teaching certification/license in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or kindergarten setting.
Strong knowledge of child development principles, early childhood pedagogy, and curriculum development.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and diverse environment.
Fluency in English (additional language proficiency may be preferred, depending on the school's language requirements).
