Job Description Summary:
At PayPal, the Credit Underwriting Specialist is responsible for understanding the full picture of the Customer with the ultimate goal of making the right decision for PayPal, the Customer, and our Investors.

As a
Credit Underwriting Specialist
at PayPal, you will:
- Interpret and analyze financial statements and business tax returns
- Review business banking statements
- Verify the accuracy of information submitted for underwriting
- Interview small business owners, landlords, trade references, and review site inspections
- Analyze credit bureau information (consumer and business)
- Operate within a defined regulatory environment
Qualifications for success:
- Bachelor's degree in a businessrelated major
- Superior decision making and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a team setting with all levels of the organization
- Ability to multitask with attention to detail
- Superior customer service skills
- Willingness and ability to discuss potentially difficult financial issues with business owners
- Willingness to work flexible hours and additional hours as required
- Proficient PC user, including experience with Microsoft Office suite
