Job Description:


Use electrical team inputs (cable list etc.,) to understand source and destination points for cables, including end connection inside cabinet where applicableAnalyze and segregate various cables considering EMC classesIdentify exact source and destination points in mechanical structure 3DPerform and implement cable design and cable routing optimally in UG NX Routing, considering the cable installation and assembly aspects and constraintsPerform cable routing considering EMC & safety requirementsConsider support structure, space constraints within mechanical structure during cable routingEnsure Optimal path for the cable installationInteract and collaborate with various stakeholders (electrical/mechanical design teams, cross-functional teams etc.,) to understand project needPerform self-check and peer-check and ensure cables are routed / terminated according to the designUse 3D cable routing information and develop installation drawings as neededEnsure length of cable according to the cable routing done in NX/3D is enough for installation, and not too long or not too shortSupport and provide 3D cable routing data to prepare work instructionsKnowledge on MS-Excel Macros etc.

Desired Qualification & Experience

A graduate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering5+ years of experience in cable design and cable routingShould have experience in designing electrical cabinets and enclosuresIn-depth knowledge on EMC requirements and electrical international standardsMust have done cable design, cable routing in at least 2 full life cycle projects, from concept to realizationHands on experience in electrical

UG NX Electrical Routing

is mustKnowledge on drawing standards and methodsUnderstanding of electrical components and wiring schematicsGood knowledge on cable and cable harnessingUnderstanding off electrical systems and layoutsKnowledge of mechanical CAD systems and tools will be an added advantageShould have handled review and quality aspects of cable routingFamiliarity in manufacturing and cable installation practicesFundamental knowledge on electrical systems and requirementsKnowledge on Product Data Management systems, specifically Team Center
