Key Responsibilities

• Passionately drive Blast furnace production targets with focus on safety , Volume ,Cost productivity and Quality
• Benchmarking & Analytical approach to problem solving, monitor customer expectation
• To ensure the smooth functioning & optimization of blast furnace process by maintaining stable furnace movement and thermal regime, proper burdening, distribution, and analysis of process parameters.
• To Initiate and oversee the implementation of Process Improvement Plans to maximize productivity and reduce Cost of Production.
• To ensure there are no fluctuations in the quality of hot meta produced.
• To maintain the required thermal conditions and desired hot metal / slag chemistry.
• Establishing strong systems and controls in Compliance, Safety and Environment with Benchmarked Practices
• Focus on optimum resource allocation and achieving Plant OEE target and keen focus on conversion cost , quality and Asset Optimization .
• Benchmarking & Analytical approach to problem solving , monitor customer expectation
• Champion various debottlenecking and growth projects to expand the business as per requirement.

Desired Skillset-

• Extensive knowledge of Hot Metal production process and parameters.
• Thorough knowledge of all the sections of Blast Furnace operations & hands on experience in handling furnace irregularities.
• Good understanding of Raw Material Properties and significance.
• Strong understanding of Hot Metal Chemistry
