Restaurant Captain

Position Overview:

The Restaurant Captain plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant by overseeing the dining area and coordinating the activities of the waitstaff.

They are responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of efficiency, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure they are seated promptly.
• Assist guests with menu selections, provide recommendations, and address any special requests or dietary requirements.
• Ensure that guests receive attentive and personalized service throughout their dining experience.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional and efficient manner, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.

Team Coordination and Supervision:

• Assign sections to waitstaff and communicate special requests or VIP guests.
• Provide guidance and support to the waitstaff, ensuring they adhere to service standards and protocols.
• Monitor staff performance, addressing any issues or areas for improvement as necessary.
• Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.

Training and Development:

• Train new staff members on service standards, menu items, and restaurant policies.
• Conduct ongoing training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the waitstaff.
• Provide constructive feedback to staff to help them improve their performance.

Operations Management:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including tables, chairs, and other furnishings.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, maximizing the use of available space.
• Oversee the handling of payments and ensure accuracy in billing.

Upselling and Revenue Generation:

• Encourage upselling of menu items and promotions to maximize revenue.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or excesses to management.
• Suggest ways to enhance the guest experience and increase customer satisfaction.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among staff members.
• Communicate effectively with management, kitchen staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Relay important information, such as special requests or guest feedback, to the relevant parties promptly.

Salary:
Up to ₹20,000.00 per month
