The Technical Design Lead in Web analytics is responsible for upholding the integrity and quality of the technical design of web analytics related services.

These include cookie management banner, tag-management tool and the core web analytic platform.

In this role it is to make sure that all the new tracking and functioning scripts chosen for development will be inserted and correct tracking data can be captured.

Alongside that Technical design lead should ensure that integrity is met or if optimizations to the existing scripts will be continuously assessed and brought to the development.

She or he is responsible identifying dependencies within the web sites and web analytics product and guide different suppliers with implementations.

Technical design lead testing activities and in case of quality defects help troubleshooting problems emerged by version changes, script mismatchs, housekeeping.

Technical Design Lead collaborates both with their own team and other relevant teams and ensures that planned changes are implemented in technically correct way.

S/he validates and approves the technical designs during incremental product development.

Taking a lifecycle view, Technical Design leads plays an active role in identifying opportunities to improve service performance and resolving critical situations in production.

Technical Design Lead works closely co-operation with Product owner supporting him/her on technical matters.

Key accountabilities and responsibilitiesWork closely with the product owner and other team members to clarify proposed changes to IT products and/or platform from a technical point of view.


Responsible for bringing the technical point of view, during backlog refinement and prioritization, including for example scoping the technical changes, estimating their complexity and efforts.


Accountable and responsible for the integrity and quality of the technical design of the IT product and/or platform through its lifecycle.

Create fit-for-purpose and fit-for-use technical designs to implement the prioritized backlog items, Accountable for ensuring non-functional requirements are addressed in the technical design.


Responsible for making sure the technical design continues to be in alignment with applicable quality and compliance standards (e.g., cybersecurity and data models and standards), and is aligned with IT Product and/or platform roadmap.

Responsible for keeping the complexity of technical designs low.


Responsible for ensuring that technical dependencies between the IT products and platforms are planned and implemented in accordance with architecture guidelines.

Accountable & Responsible for reviewing, validating, and approving technical changes Provide required technical guidance to the team members.

Lifecycle management of IT products


Taking a lifecycle view of the IT product and/or platform, play proactive role in identifying improvements to performance, eliminating technical debt in IT products and/or platforms.

Play a proactive role in technology management to avoid technical debt. Work with product owners to prioritize such improvements.

Support Operations teams in addressing critical operational issues.


Responsible for technology management activities and supporting activities related to technical health checks, upgrades and maintenance of the technical elements of the IT products and/or platforms throughout their lifecycle.


Accountable for maintaining up-to-date technical documentation including technical design specifications in accordance with applicable architecture guidelines, taking accountability for the overall quality of the technical documentation of the IT products and/or platforms in scope.

Plays an active role in improving & maintaining agile ways of working within the team.

Professional competences:
Deep experience with analytics tracking development and managing integrations

Deep experience understanding data models and data flows within area of web analytics

Experience with agile ways of working. Ability to grow to DevOps mindset.

Lean and agile ways of working

Familiarity with IT product management practices

Communication and networking skills in a global environment.

Familiarity with the following tools, technologies, and concepts:
Good understanding of applications used for web analytics like Adobe analytics, Adobe Launch and One Trust. Awareness about rival analytic tools, digital advertisement platforms, newsletter/campaign tracking and social media analytics. Also info about customer journey analytics and customer 365 concepts and the CDP are seen as advantage1st party cookiesClient and Server-side trackingData layerCampaign trackingDigital Markets Act (DMA)

Entry-level requirements
:
Educational qualifications (e.g., BE, BTech, MCA etc.).

At least 7-8 years of technical experience in web analytics field, preferably on the relevant technology area.

Demonstrated experience of working in a global context
