Job Description :

As a Dimensional Data Modeler, your main task will be creating and implementing data models to meet our organization's business intelligence and reporting needs.

You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data sources, and develop efficient dimensional data models.


Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand data modeling and reporting requirements
  • Analyze data sources, identify relevant data elements, and assess data quality
  • Design and develop scalable dimensional data models following industry standards
  • Create and maintain data dictionaries, mappings, and lineage documentation
  • Work with ETL developers to align data models with integration processes
  • Conduct data profiling to identify and address data quality issues
  • Optimize data models for performance and scalability
  • Test data models with sample data for accuracy
  • Ensure data models comply with standards and policies
  • Stay informed about data modeling and business intelligence trends

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in dimensional data modeling (BI or data warehousing environment)
  • Proficiency in designing dimensional data models using standard methodologies
  • Understanding of dimensional modeling concepts like fact tables, dimension tables, and star schemas
  • Strong SQL skills for data querying and analysis
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration
  • Familiarity with data governance and quality principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with Power BI or other BI tools
