The Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer at NDI, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems to support various digital initiatives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as product management, UX/UI designers, DevOps, and frontend developers is crucial to deliver top-notch software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications and services to meet business requirements and performance goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following coding standards.
  • Conduct code reviews, offer feedback, and mentor junior developers to uphold code quality.
  • Implement integrations with third-party systems and services.
  • Optimize application performance through continuous monitoring and tuning efforts.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies in backend development and propose innovative solutions.
  • Partake in Agile development processes to ensure timely delivery of features.
  • Work with QA engineers to develop test strategies for software stability.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Java EE / Spring based application development.
  • BS / BTech or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex issues.
  • Solid OO skills and coding proficiency.
  • Experience with software engineering best practices and design patterns.
  • Knowledge of multitier architectures and full product development cycles.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic environments with unclear boundaries.
