Position Purpose

The Associate Director of Cost Management will play apivotal role in overseeing and delivering highquality costmanagement services across multiple projects. This seniorleadership position requires a strategic thinker with extensiveexperience in cost management within the construction industry. TheAssociate Director will work closely with clients project teams andother stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time withinbudget and to the highest standards.

Qualifications andExperience :

Bachelors degree inQuantity Surveying Construction Management or a related field. AMasters degree or professional certification (e.g. MRICS AACE) ishighly desirable.

A minimum of 10 years ofexperience in cost management within the construction industry withat least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proventrack record of successfully delivering complex projects acrossvarious sectors.

Strong understanding of costmanagement principles techniques and best practices.

Excellent analytical organizational and problemsolvingskills.

Exceptional communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strongclient relationships.

Proficiency in costmanagement software and tools

The ability tothink strategically and develop longterm plans to driveorganizational growth and success is essential. Candidates shouldhave a strong understanding of business strategy market trends andcompetitive landscapes.

Effective leadershipskills are crucial for guiding teams and influencing organizationalchange. Candidates should be able to inspire and motivate otherscommunicate vision and goals clearly and foster collaboration andteamwork.

Duties &Responsibilities:

Leadership andManagement:

Lead and manage thecost management team providing guidance mentorship and professionaldevelopment.

Develop and implement costmanagement strategies and processes to enhance servicedelivery.

Ensure compliance with companypolicies industry standards and regulatory requirements

ProjectDelivery:

Oversee thepreparation and management of project budgets cost plans andfinancial reports.

Monitor project costs andprogress identifying and mitigating potential risks andissues.

Conduct detailed cost analysis andvalue engineering to optimize project costs.

ClientRelationship Management:

Establish and maintain strong relationships with clientsunderstanding their needs and providing tailoredsolutions.

Lead client meetings andpresentations effectively communicating cost management strategiesand project updates.

Ensure client satisfactionthrough proactive problemsolving and exceptional servicedelivery.

BusinessDevelopment:

Identify and pursuenew business opportunities contributing to the growth and expansionof the cost management division.

Prepare andpresent proposals bids and contract negotiations.

Stay informed of industry trends and market conditions tomaintain a competitive edge.

TechnicalExpertise:

Provide expert adviceon cost estimation cost control procurement strategies and contractadministration.

Utilize industrystandardsoftware and tools for cost management and reporting.

Stay updated on advancements in construction methodsmaterials and technologies.
