Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Substantial, extensive and demonstrated experience in various aspects of technology infrastructure design and implementation, with tangible, relevant and demonstrated experience in delivering projects within scope and budget
  • Should Have SQLServer DBA production support experience, preferably with large clients with large infrastructure base
  • Working Experience with HA/DR solutions including AlwaysON clustering, mirroring options must
  • Implementation SQL replication in a complex environment
  • Exposure & expertise with Azure SQL PaaS services
  • Should Have Powershell scripting exposure & knowledge
  • Experience with SQLServer builds, patching/upgrades, backups, restores, cloud migrations, replication setups, alwaysON clustering, performance tuning, troubleshooting Must have 5+ years experience in MySQL Database administration
  • Good knowledge of SQL for MySQL,
  • Extensive experience with MySQL Server Installation, configuring and troubleshooting
  • Solid knowledge of Database Server High Availability Features
  • Solid knowledge in the following areas: Windows or Unix, Networking, Clustering, T-SQL
  • Fluent English
  • Understanding and solid experience on any of the leading cloud and/or virtualization technologies (Azure)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • SQLServer and Azure DBA skills primary requirement
  • Skills and knowledge on automation, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Analytics & Database technologies are preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills to contribute as a leading member of global, distributed teams focused on delivering quality services and solutions
  • Able to distill complex technical challenges to actionable and explainable decisions
  • Demonstrate excellent technical & architecture skills in the context of cloud based global platform/product design, service management and product lifecycle management
  • Demonstrate ability to rapidly learn new and emerging technologies and developing a vision of their suitability and role as a new product within a platform & product landscape
  • Operational experience including early life support and driving root cause analysis and remediation
  • Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change.
  • Ability to work across large and complex organization structures, and across global teams, supporting cultural differences and motives
  • Ability to work independently in a global organization within the context of a virtual team.
  • Due to the global team/organization calls and meetings out of regular office hours will occur
  • Weekend or latenight work may occur during project phases and on call rotations

  • At least 4 years of Experience with HA/DR solutions including AlwaysON clustering, mirroring options must
  • At least 2 years of experience with SQL replication
  • At least 2 years of experience with Azure SQL PaaS services
  • Powershell scripting one year
  • Experience with SQLServer builds, patching/upgrades, backups, restores, cloud migrations, replication setups, alwaysON clustering, performance tuning, troubleshooting must
  • Vendor or industry standard certifications in applicable specialty or related technology areas desirable
