Key Responsibilities:
- Complex Tax Compliance: Take the lead in managing and preparing intricate tax returns for a diverse set of entities including corporations, partnerships, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Audit Representation: Represent and defend clients in federal and state tax audits, employing your deep understanding of tax laws and strategies.
- Tax Research and Consulting: Engage in detailed federal tax research, managing substantial projects such as R&D Credits and Net Investment Income Tax, driving strategic tax planning and implementation.
- Regulatory Mastery: Keep abreast of emerging tax regulations and contribute proactively to the firm's collective knowledge base.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work seamlessly with other departments to deliver holistic client solutions, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Client Engagement and Service: Provide exceptional consultative service to clients, helping them navigate complex tax situations with confidence.
- Mentorship and Team Development: Actively mentor junior staff, fostering an environment that supports learning and professional growth.
- Active CPA or EA license, or the capability to obtain one within the first year of employment; company-sponsored incentives available to facilitate this.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting from a reputed institution.
- Experience: At least 3-5 years of substantial tax experience, particularly in a public accounting environment.

Tax Expertise: Proficiency in preparing Federal and State Corporate, Partnership, Trust, Estate, and Individual tax returns. Audit Experience: Capability to represent clients during Federal and State tax audits. Tax Research Skills: Strong research skills, particularly in federal tax matters such as R&D Credits, Net Investment Income Tax issues, Employment tax, etc. Regulatory Knowledge: Keeping current on new federal and state tax matters to ensure compliance and optimization of tax strategies. Cross-Departmental Coordination: Ability to work with Client Accounting and Assurance departments to meet comprehensive client needs. Tax Review: Skills in first-level review of tax returns to ensure accuracy, minimize tax liability, and assess tax provisions. Client Interaction: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships, including meetings and responding to inquiries from the Internal Revenue Service and state tax authorities. Project Management: Ability to manage planning and projection services effectively. Leadership Skills: Experience in leading, supervising, and training staff-level accountants, as well as providing performance feedback. Experience: 3-5 years of tax experience in a public accounting setting. Self-motivation: Self-driven with an internal motivation to meet deadlines. Professionalism: Maintains a positive and professional attitude in all interactions.
