We are seeking a Zero-Based Costing Engineer with a strong background in the automotive industry to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing zero-based costing methodologies for automotive projects, as well as a thorough understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and cost drivers.


Responsibilities:
Develop and implement zero-based costing methodologies for Casting, Forging, Moulding, Fabrication, Stamping, PCBs etc.
Analyse and understand cost drivers in the automotive industry, including material costs, labor costs, and overhead costs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives.

Cost Reporting:
Prepare and present cost reports to management, summarizing cost drivers, variances, and trends. Provide insights and recommendations for cost control and optimization.
Maintain and update BOMs, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Work closely with engineering and production teams to validate BOM data.
Provide recommendations on sourcing strategies and supplier selection based on cost, quality, and performance
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in costing procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical/electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
Minimum 1 year of experience in zero-based costing, cost engineering, or related fields in the automotive industry
Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and cost drivers
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
