About the role As a Design System Engineer, you play a pivotal role in the ongoing evolution and maintenance of our sophisticated design system that underpins the visual identity and user experiences of multiple brands.
At the intersection of design and engineering, your expertise is crucial in ensuring the seamless integration of our design principles into a mature and comprehensive system.
This involves managing an extensive set of design tokens, Figma plugins, and comprehensive documentation, among other elements, to empower diverse brand teams in delivering consistent and exceptional digital experiences.
Responsibilities include:
Influence the ongoing enhancement and evolution of our design system to accommodate the dynamic needs of multiple brands.
This involves staying abreast of industry trends, emerging design practices, and technological advancements to ensure our system remains cutting-edge and adaptable.
Your role involves collaborating closely with designers to integrate new tokens, maintaining consistency, and optimizing for efficiency in the design workflow.
This includes creating tools that enhance collaboration, automate repetitive tasks, and ensure the seamless integration of design assets from the system.
This involves creating clear, accessible, and up-to-date documentation that serves as a valuable resource for designers, developers, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers, to gather insights into evolving design needs.
Your ability to bridge the gap between design and engineering facilitates effective communication and ensures the alignment of the design system with broader business objectives.

The ideal candidate has:
UI Engineers with design systems experience9 to 11 yrs of experience, Showcase a portfolio that reflects your proficiency in systems thinking, coupled with solid front-end development and visual design understanding.
Highlight projects that demonstrate your ability to create clear, elegant solutions.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of the design systems landscape, showcasing experience in building and contributing to design systems that enhance product development.
Exhibit a track record of successfully building and shipping web or mobile products, emphasizing a commitment to craftsmanship and delivering elegant solutions.
Illustrate your understanding of how to frame and solve challenging problems, emphasizing a rich understanding of a diverse array of engineering methodologies.
High-level knowledge in modern web technologies such as React and Type Script.
Highlight your depth of knowledge in leveraging these technologies to create cutting-edge digital experiences.
Good understanding of coding standards and best practices in web development, accessibility, and design system governance.
Showcase familiarity and experience with hypothesis-driven design, along with qualitative and quantitative testing.
