Assistant Manager- Business Finance

through the formal channels that you and I take for granted? Ourauto-wallas cannot use Cred, our security guards cannot use Zerodha.

There are severalexamples—you get the idea.
How can we enable them to get on such platforms?By reducing the cost of distribution.

If we break down financial products such as loans, insuranceand investments into their fundamental building blocks, and offer them as APIs to businesses, theythen package these APIs into highly custom apps, tailor-made for their specific customers, instead of a generic one-size-for-all approach that is the norm today.

This also enables them to go live with a fintech product or service in a matter of days, not months.

We believe that fintech will be a core part of every company's offering. And at Setu, we're buildingthe fintech infrastructure that will accelerate this.

Importance of the roleAt Setu, we believe that every company can become a fintech company. Any tech-enabled business which wants to offer or build financial products will consume Setu APIs.

The business financefunction within Setu is equivalent to the spinal cord of a body and without us, businesses can'toperate their day-to-day operations.

The management relies on the function of steering the strategicdirection of the company.
Our clients are very challenging as they can come from any type of company including—1. Financial institutions like Banks and NBFCs2. Fintechs who are new-age digital lenders and micro-insurance companies, and3.

Pretty much every other type of tech company ranging from agri-tech companies toapartment aggregators, from ed-tech startups to last-mile logistics.

This role is special since it will give you a deep look into the business objectives not only of SETU but many other multiple companies.

What will you do at Setu?

Role Purpose

We are hiring for the role of

Assistant Manager- Business Finance.

This is an Individual Contributor role.

As Assistant Manager - Business Finance, you will handle activities with respect to revenue assurance, business partnership, financial planning and analysis, and management reporting.


The responsibilities we entrust you with:
Revenue Assurance
  • Review and approval of commercials signed with merchants;
  • Ensuring Merchant master is updated with accurate and complete details of product, pricing,and KYC details of customers;
  • Ensuring monthly invoicing with accuracy and completeness;
  • Coordinate with Pine Labs teams for revenue recognition of inter company transactions; and
● Ensuring periodic review and timely realization of invoices;

Business Partnership
  • Liaise with Business and assist in business partnerships;
  • Review of supply and demand side partnerships and agreements;
  • Review and monitor of prices of supply side partnerships;
  • Work with Business teams in negotiating commercials with supply partners;
  • Periodic review and Publish product pricing charters for Business Development teams;
  • Assist Business teams in pricing for large enterprise deals; and
● Building selling strategy and pricing plans for new products;

Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Liaise with Leadership team in design and implementation of Annual Operating Plan;
  • Publish monthly operating and financial performance through MIS and other adhoc analysis;
  • Track actuals Vs budget and discuss course correction measures with the Leadership team;
  • Review the movement of key costs (Infrastructure, SaaS, and consultants) and appraisefunction leaders in case of abnormal trends; and
● Liaise with Engg and People Ops teams in controlling costs;

Management Reporting
  • Preparation of management reports including operational, financial and other information;
  • Support Leadership team in monthly and quarterly performance reviews;
  • Prepare and publish MIS, Cashflow, and Cash Burn reports;
  • Prepare financial models with scenario analysis; and
  • Prepare benchmark analysis and industry landscape reports.
What matters in this role

Years of work experience:0-1 year of experience (Candidates from fintech/ banking background shall be preferred).

Worked with Leadership / Senior Management teams; Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; and Familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle and SAP will be an added advantage.

Chartered Accountant (mandatory)
