Job Title: Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer

About the Company: We are a dynamic IT security team looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join us.


Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer to join our dynamic IT security team. As a DLP Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining effective data protection strategies to safeguard our organization's sensitive information. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cybersecurity, a deep understanding of data loss prevention technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities:


DLP Solution Implementation:

  • Deploy, configure, and manage Data Loss Prevention solutions to monitor and protect sensitive data across the organization.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate DLP solutions seamlessly into existing infrastructure.

Policy Development and Enforcement:

  • Develop and enforce DLP policies in alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational needs.
  • Regularly review and update DLP policies to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

Incident Response and Investigation:

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts related to data exfiltration or policy violations.
  • Lead incident response efforts to investigate and mitigate DLP incidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations.

Risk Assessment and Compliance:

  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential areas of data loss and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws, industry regulations, and internal policies.

Collaboration and Training:

  • Work closely with other IT and business units to raise awareness of data protection best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to endusers and stakeholders on DLP policies and procedures.

Technology Evaluation:

  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in DLP technologies and evaluate their suitability for the organization.
  • Make recommendations for enhancements and improvements to the DLP solution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a DLP Engineer or in a similar cybersecurity role.
  • Strong knowledge of DLP technologies, protocols, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and data protection standards.
  • Experience with security incident response and investigation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft DLP required.
