General Summary:

General Summary:


The charter of the QSSI team is to integrate Android platform tags throughout the year while collaborating with many tech teams across multiple sites.

The team is looking for a candidate who has good understanding of Linux environment, Android frameworks, automation fundamentals, database and has good analytical/debugging knowledge or experience.

The candidate would be responsible to integrate; new Android source, test on devices, fix bugs, optimize processes, enhance scripts/tools, and write new tools.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

ORMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

ORPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:


Strong in SDLC and OOP conceptsProficient in C/C++, Java, Python programmingGood knowledge of OS fundamentals, data structures and Linux Kernel.

Good understanding of RDBMS, normalization and SQL/MYSQL queriesGood knowledge of scripting languages (mainly Python and Shell)Familiarity with Linux environmentFamiliarity with build and integration, and release process/management (GNU Make, Android, Git repositories etc.)

Familiarity with Android Open Source Project and open source toolsFamiliarity with Android change management (Repo/Gerrit)Sound analytical skillsPractical knowledge of logs analysis, debugging and fixing issuesFundamental knowledge of Tools/Automation design and developmentSelf-motivated, adaptable, and independent, capable of working with limited supervision, pro-actively reporting on status and tasks0-4 years of experience in the above areasGood to have:
Experience in android and Linux build system, integration, and associated toolsExperience in Linux continuous integration development and Linux based build system enhancementPlan and execute product software integration/testing and build/releaseRequirement collection and test plan development, testing automation and verificationExperience in Embedded software developmentExpertise in analyzing of logs and debugging issuesExperience in build and integration processesExperience in writing automation/toolsApplicants
