Primary Responsibilities
- Administers SAP BusinessObjects software and servers in multifaceted 24x7 HA environments
- Plans and manages software/hardware updates and upgrades; implements in a timely manner
- Install and configures client connectivity to different databases like HANA, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server PostgreSQL, and MySQL
- Manages folder/group security, creates/manages users, access levels, groups, folders, subfolders, and client software security, Active Directory, LDAP and SAP HANA SSO
- Proactively collects and monitors server and workbook metrics, conducts performance tuning and capacity management. Looks for opportunities to optimize servers and server deployment
- Resolves server and customer issues within the service level agreements
- Develops tools and workflows to improve the users' experience
- Creates and maintains documentation for policies, procedures, and best practices
- Interacts with other internal departments such as database administrators, web technologies, identity management, and outside consultants to deliver scalable and highly effective analytic solutions
- Participates in and contribute to the implementation of best industry practices
- Works with IS and business users to resolve issues
Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or an analytical discipline or equivalent experience
- 6+ years overall IT experience
- 4+ years proven SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Administration with a clustered high availability architecture
- Window Server OS, Windows Security, Firewalls, and Networking
- Proficient in promotion management, version management, creating/modifying universes using IDT, and the creation and troubleshooting of Crystal reports, WebI reports and SAP Analysis for MS Office.
- Has basic understanding of audit reports, audit universe and the BusinessObjects metadata model
- Proficient with troubleshooting techniques to determine root cause analysis and formulate solution recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Works under mínimal supervision with a high degree of selfmotivation, commitment, and integrity
- Willingness to learn new technologies at an accelerated pace
- Ability to provide clear communication to senior management on issue identification and resolution
- Leverage indepth business knowledge to translate complex business analysis and reporting requirements into technical designs
- Practical skills in deploying large scale environments managing millions of records per day in a highavailability environment
Desired Skills/Experience
- Proficient in scripting skills such as PowerShell or Python
- Nice to have experience/knowledge of SAS, Cognos, Alteryx, Tableau
- SQL Programming, Data modeling and SQL tuning
