We are seeking a skilled, cooperative, and seasoned AI/ML Engineer specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This individual should possess in-depth knowledge of the technical aspects involved in developing, executing, and testing various projects within the Empower Technology Innovation Lab. In this position, you will have the chance to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with multiple teams, contributing to engineering choices within the Innovation Lab technology unit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Contribute to engineering choices within the Technology Innovation Lab team.
  • Explore AI/ML technologies with a strong emphasis on delivering business value.
  • Stay updated on the latest tech trends, tools, and products to guide the strategic experimentation roadmap.
  • Create solutions showcasing tangible business value in a laboratory setting.
  • Improve our development processes, culture, and tools.
  • Design and implement CI/CD automated code delivery pipelines.
  • Adapt to evolving security conditions and actively contribute to security protocols.
  • Implement Empower's security measures in your design and code implementation.
  • Evaluate various third-party and open-source technologies.
  • Formulate technical viewpoints, standards, solutions, and strategies that benefit the organization.
  • Generate innovative concepts, develop prototypes, and proof of concepts.
  • Create efficient solutions with clear tradeoffs that align with business demands.
  • Suggest fresh and innovative approaches to meet the rapidly changing business landscape.
  • Adjust to emerging priorities and shifts in focus.
  • Carry out tasks iteratively and transparently, showcasing progress, learnings, and value regularly.
  • Collaborate with architecture to shape the design and execution of the Innovation Lab cloud infrastructure.
  • Offer guidance to production teams delivering tech solutions incubated in the lab.
  • Provide value through a collaborative approach involving multiple teams across various locations.
  • Employ an open, transparent, and cooperative problem-solving method.
  • Embrace and contribute to best practices, standards, and guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience in the AI/ML sector.
  • Extensive familiarity with cloud technologies and native cloud functionalities on platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Direct involvement in designing, constructing, and delivering cutting-edge technologies like AI/ML.
  • Proficiency in serverless applications, including the integration of Lambda functions and event sources, as well as Microservices.
  • Background in object-oriented programming and expertise in at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, C#, Ruby, Python).
