Cyber Security Engineering

General Summary:


This role will be responsible for 24x7 in 'SOC' team of Cyber Defence Center thus requires working in night shift in rotational basis to support the business requirements of the organizationPeople management & security incident response capabilities are very essential to this roleContinuous focus on upskilling the CDC analysts to keep them updated with changes in trend in cyber threat landscapeHelp drive lower attrition using direct engagement methods like Rewards and recognition and other indirect engagement methods to retain staffEnsure maximum coverage and efficient operationsManage the KPIs, operational deliverables, problem management & operational excellenceAccountable for meeting the SOC KPIs that includes "Quality Accuracy', 'Acknowledgement Time', 'Response Time', 'Time to Escalate' & 'Resolution Time'.Set shift schedules in a rotational basisLead the Shift Handovers, highlight the key notables to Tier3Help in enforcing and or governing the escalation process between T1/T2 and T3 teamsAbility to conduct detailed analysis of various security related events like Phishing events, Ransomware, DDoS events, Malware Outbreak, etc.

Synergies with cross-functional teams across QualcommContinuous fine tuning of false alarms to improve alert fidelity and reduce the fatigueMature automation processes and capabilities to perform faster and more efficient responses leveraging automation and orchestrationLook for opportunities to gather patterns, change in attack vectors, TTPs, threat anomalies from CDC investigations and drive feedback with relevant stakeholders on preventative measures'10+ years of experience in IT.'Minimum 2 years experience in acting as a Shift lead in security operations or Cyber Defense Center.

The individual must also have a good awareness of current and developing security threats and technologiesExcellent Problem Solving and Critical Thinking SkillsStrong proficiency in written and spoken EnglishStrong interpersonal skills and a good team playerPrior professional services experience in 24x7 SOC operations is a mustBachelor's degree or Master's Degree in Computer Sciences or in Cyber SecurityITIL V3.


0 knowledge is a mustMinimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of cybersecurity-relevant work experience.
ORHigh School diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of cybersecurity-relevant work experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 40 lbs.
