Analytics Engineer (P2)

We are looking for a skilled Analytics Engineer to join our team at Human Health Insights, Analytics and Data (HHIAD) organization. Join us in our journey to become a leading commercial biopharma organization with a strong focus on data.

As an Analytics Engineer within the HHIAD Commercial Data Solutions team, you will be responsible for developing analytical data solutions to support data science & analytics use cases. Your role involves creating and managing data assets used in commercial/marketing analytics, building top-notch data pipelines and products in collaboration with data product owners.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing last-mile data products with cutting-edge technologies
  • Enabling data science & analytics teams for effective data modeling and feature engineering
  • Developing deep data domain expertise and business acumen
  • Building data products based on automated data models and ensuring reusability, governance, and compliance
  • Designing and implementing semantic layer for analytics data solutions
  • Supporting data stewards and engineers in maintaining data catalogs and governance frameworks

Education:

  • B.S., M.S. or PhD in Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field

Required experience:

  • 5 – 6 years of relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical/life sciences industry
  • High proficiency in SQL, Python, and Cloud systems
  • Experience with Data quality management techniques
  • Experience in building data models for Data Science / Visualization stakeholders
  • Experience with cloud-based data management platforms
  • Experience with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Starburst, ThoughtSpot, Databricks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred experience:

  • Experience in analytics use cases focused on marketing strategies
  • Experience with Agile ways of working and certifications in AWS and/or modern data technologies
  • Knowledge of commercial/marketing analytics data landscape
