Cloud Architect - Job Description**Sitero Clinical Research is a full-service CRO that provides comprehensive services to guide you through the development and execution of clinical programs across all stages of development and life cycle management. Sitero is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team.

As a Cloud Architect, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation, performance, and security of our organization's systems.

You will be responsible for managing a wide range of technologies, including Linux and Windows systems, cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, virtualization with VMWare, SharePoint, and more.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and maintain all Linux and Windowsbased systems, ensuring their availability, stability, and optimal performance.
  • Develop and maintain scripts in Python or PowerShell to automate routine administrative tasks, streamline operations, and enhance efficiency.
  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and administration of Azure and AWS environments, including provisioning and managing virtual machines, storage, and networking components.
  • Support and maintain SharePoint environments, including user management, permissions, and site configuration.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure high availability and optimal resource utilization.
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures, including access controls, data encryption, and vulnerability management, to safeguard systems and data.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to plan, implement, and support technology initiatives and projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational policies.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior cloud engineers, assisting with troubleshooting complex issues and sharing knowledge and expertise.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to existing systems, processes, and procedures, driving innovation and efficiency.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • BE/BTech in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Proven experience working as a Senior cloud engineer or Architect, with a focus on Linux and Windows servers in Azure and AWS.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell, with the ability to automate tasks and develop custom tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically Azure and AWS, including experience with infrastructureascode (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Indepth understanding of VMWare virtualization technologies, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of virtual machines.
  • Proficiency in administering SharePoint environments, including user management, permissions, and site configuration.
  • Sound knowledge of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and technologies, including access controls, encryption, vulnerability management, and identity and access management (IAM).
  • Excellent problemsolving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide innovative solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and provide guidance and mentorship.
  • Experience managing leading life sciences system implementations would be an advantage (i.e. CTMS, Drug Safety, EDC, Quality, CRM, Data Analytics, HRMS, Accounting / Finance, etc.),
