Job description

Role & responsibilities

The Supplier Relations Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing relationships with suppliers of travel products, including hotels, experiences, flights, and other travel-related services. This role involves procuring APIs and ensuring seamless integration to enhance our travel offerings on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Sourcing and Management:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for hotel, experience, flight, and other travel products.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure competitive rates and favorable terms.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers to ensure continued collaboration and mutual benefit.

API Procurement and Integration:

  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand API requirements for integrating travel products.
  • Source and procure APIs from suppliers, ensuring they meet technical and business needs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate smooth API integration and resolve any technical issues.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to enhance product offerings and drive business growth.
  • Monitor supplier performance and industry developments to make data-driven decisions.

Contract Management:

  • Draft, review, and manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Monitor contract performance and address any deviations or disputes promptly.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to align procurement activities with business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.

Performance Reporting:

  • Prepare regular reports on supplier performance, market trends, and procurement activities.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Experience working with global suppliers and managing international procurement projects.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in the travel and tourism industry.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to travel procurement.
