About the team

We are team of 7 Database administrators who are covering operational and project support for most of GenDigital (Oracle, GoldenGate, MYSQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL Server, Cassandra, Mongo/DocumentDB tech stack in Public Cloud 'Azure, AWS, GCP' and on-prem) databases.

What You Will Do in This Role

Design, build and maintain database and data engineering solutions to serve needs across the organization. Achieves organizational goals by defining, integrating, and upgrading a comprehensive architecture to support applications, platforms, and databases Ensures security of all information and computer systems and digital data Ensures adherence to government regulations and guidelines for technological systems and safeguarding of data Trouble shoots and finds solutions for computer systems issues that affect data storage as they arise Studies organizational mission, goals, and business drivers, and confers with senior management to understand information requirements Build highly performant NoSQL/RDBMS solutions and help troubleshoot problem areas for unmatched performance and reliability. Own or support the data definitions and lineage across our organization. Define systems of record and catalog operational and nonoperational data stores. Consult with features teams on how to get them the data they need. Help teach other team members about data architecture, and also be a consultant for developers who need help with data.

What You'll Need to be Successful in this Role

Bachelor's or master's Degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or information systems At least 10 years of experience and expertise in database and systems architecture design, development, and implementation with Oracle technologies (like Oracle database, Grid, Oracle Golden Gate, ASM, RAC, and Oracle Enterprise Manager) Excellent data management skills including ensuring data integrity, data access, security and archiving procedures At least 7 years of experience using Ansible, Jenkins, Jira, Rundeck and Service Now At least 5 years of experience with Python, and shell scripting At least 5 years of public cloud experience (AWS, Azure, and GCP) Experience with NoSQL database technologies (like Mongo, Cosmos, Dynamo, or Document database Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, Azure and AWS automation tools, with other relational database technologies (SQL Server, MySQL, AWS Aurora, or PostgreSQL) Strong communication skills
