Job Summary:
We are looking for an Engineer to join our Instrumentation development team responsible for an efficient product. This position requires a deep understanding of C Language, Embedded systems, and software development methodologies. Using tools like UML, Visio, etc. for documentation purposes is an integral part of this role. The tasks will involve working on embedded code, verification test code, executing test code, and supporting PC applications.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will:

  • Collaborate with marketing and manufacturing to define requirements.
  • Analyze, design, and implement solutions to requirements.
  • Propose improvements to software inefficiencies and deficiencies.
  • Use tools like scopes, meters, power sources as needed.
  • Plan and architect testing environments using existing toolchains.
  • Participate in sprint planning sessions.
  • Identify necessary test cases for verifying firmware requirements.
  • Implement and manage test cases.
  • Manage code changes through version control tools.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Implement or oversee the execution of test cases.
  • Log defects in the designated defect tracking tool.
  • Follow relevant project engineering practices and standards documents.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Knowledge and experience with Micro-controllers of various bits.
  • Experience with ARM architecture.
  • Familiarity with RTOS.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in distributed version control systems like GIT and Mercurial.
  • Familiarity with static code analysis tools such as PC-Lint.
  • Understanding of Ethernet Stack.
  • Strong programming skills in C / C++.
  • Ability to learn requirements management database tools like Jama.
  • Knowledge of command-line interfaces and operations.
  • Strong commitment to quality.
  • Mechanical background or aptitude is beneficial.
  • Methodical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt solutions to existing code structures.
  • Mentor and guide junior firmware developers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or similar field.
  • Previous experience in embedded development.
