Job Responsibilities:
As our

Staff Engineer (Back End)

,you'll be responsible for building new features, enhancing the existing ones as well as supporting them in production. You will also be responsible for building reusable libraries or technology platforms that address multiple use cases.

You will work towards delivering specific milestones and objectives in a very dynamic environmentYou will be in charge of the following:

Working closely with the Engineers to develop the best technical design, strategy and drive execution to build capabilities into the platformService ownership for the assigned services.

Owning the delivery of various timelines, ensuring that key milestones are met and deliveries are of the highest qualityEstablishing various best practices for software development and encouraging their adoption with the team and organizationCollaborate with other non-technical stakeholders of the business which includesProduct Managers, Designers, Marketing etc.

Encouraging and mentoring an excellent team of talented engineers by mentoring them and working with them to remove any roadblocksFunctional availability of the software developed, enhancing the product based on functional requirementsManaging cloud-based services, web applications for their functional correctness, availability, securityDeploy and maintain enterprise class RESTful web servicesOwn the engineering excellence and operational readiness of the service driving theSLO,SLI, SLA of the relevant servicesTake ownership to drive quality of the services under your purview via integration test and unit test coverageResponsible for all microservices within your purview responsible driving their quality, security, availability, scalability and other "Utilities"Dive deep into each issue, own reactive fixes, and execute long term fixesAssist other Support Engineers on complex RCA issuesProvide technical mentoring and guidance to other engineersProvide L3 engineering supportRequirements:Minimum 8 plus years of experience


in software development of which 2 years are relevant Engineering Leadership experienceStrong design and architectural experience in building various highly-scalable and highly-available productsStrong understanding of the SDLC Activities which include Analysis, Design,Development, Testing, Deployment and Post-Production Support etc.

Proficiency in at least one server side framework for languages such as

Spring boot-Java

( Prefer to have experience in , Golang too)Experience working on NoSQL & SQL Databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis etcPreferred experience in Elasticsearch and Kibana (ELK Stack)Preferred experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQDeep Dive, problem-solving, RCA and systematic thinking to reach the cause of issuesAble to work independently and multi-task effectivelyProgram at a system level and able to manage service stabilityExcellent experience maintaining, scalable, extensible codeMethodical in maintaining up to date documentationMetric-driven mindset and obsessive about ensuring clean coding practicesPreferred experience in product developmentPreferred working experience on microservices platforms
