About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Channel Specialist, Social Media professional to join our dynamic marketing team. This role will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, engage with our audience, and drive customer acquisition and retention across all Springer Nature products and services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the publishing industry and proven expertise in both organic and paid social media tactics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Strategy Development: Develop and execute organic and paid social media strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives and target audience personas. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to optimize social media presence and performance. Content Creation and Curation: Lead the creation, curation, and optimization of engaging social media content (including but not limited to text, image, video) that resonates with the target audience. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather content and ensure consistency in messaging and branding. Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and monitor paid social media campaigns across various platforms (., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) to drive traffic, conversions, and ROI. Utilize analytics and insights to optimize campaign performance, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions. Community Engagement and Management: Foster and maintain a vibrant social media community by engaging with followers, responding to comments/messages, and facilitating discussions. Implement strategies to grow social media following and increase audience engagement and participation. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead a team of social media specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster professional growth and ensure the successful execution of strategies. Collaborate effectively with internal teams (., marketing, content, design) to align social media efforts with broader marketing initiatives and objectives. Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor social media trends, conversations, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and potential risks. Prepare and present regular reports on social media performance, including key metrics, insights, and recommendations for optimization.

Experience, skills and qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in social media marketing, with a focus on both organic and paid strategies. Proven track record of success in developing and executing social media campaigns that drive measurable results, preferably in the publishing or related industry. Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and others. Experience using social media management tools and analytics platforms to monitor performance, track KPIs, and extract actionable insights. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content tailored to different audiences and channels. Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and innovation, combined with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
