Aufgaben:

  • What we do in Automated Driving Department in MBRDI?
  • Autonomous driving is redefining the role of the automobile. It will not only enhance safety and comfort, but also provide us with more free time which was previously spent driving. Mercedes-Benz has been offering advanced driver assistance systems in its vehicles for years. They can make life considerably easier in many everyday situations, providing support in areas such as speed and distance control, steering and lane changes
  • To this end, braking, steering, power supply and some parts of the sensor system are designed with physical and functional redundancy. By adopting this safety focused approach to system design, Mercedes-Benz is setting completely new benchmarks in automated driving.
  • We collaborate with colleagues from various delivery hubs & RD Departments of Mercedes Benz to deliver cutting edge in AD functions and data solutions to enable data driven development & operations.
  • We own endtoend responsibilities for a various AD functions and systems and promote "You build it you run it" culture.
  • We believe in Curiosity & Continuous experimentation as our mantra towards success.
  • Role of Deputy General Manager
  • Data Analytics for Automated Driving (Measurement Data Engineering, Data analytics & AD functional evaluation)
  • DGM of data analytics will own the vision of developing the data ecosystem for enabling accelerated automated driving SW development. The data ecosystem includes cloud platforms for storage and computing, analytics framework, visualization framework and AI/ML algorithm development.
  • Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Technology Leader (Line management) that you and your team will be responsible for
  • Work on Engineering and measurement Data Products, roadmap and goals based on larger organization/department (relevant Business partners from Germany, US teams and AD partners) requirements on using Data as enabler for Business
  • Enable "Building & operating" Infrastructure & Data engineering pipeline for Data Driven Development
  • Work with AD teams across locations to understand the requirements and build customized DA products for selfservice.
  • Support the Data Science teams for the functional evaluation of AI algorithms
  • Research, investigate and implement newer technologies to continually across chain of Big Data use cases
  • People Development in strong technical acumen
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
  • Program stakeholder management & driving innovation accross team

Qualifikationen:

  • Qualifications & Technical Skills:
  • 12+ year of software experience with Bachelors/Masters/Phd of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent degree
  • Work Experience with building endend data products with focus on AI/ML, Data Ops, Analytics & visualization.
  • Good understanding on Agile, MLOps and DevOps practice
  • Work experience in international context with product development mindset
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Proficiency in building a Scalable Data Platform for Big Data Use cases across Enterprise using Cloud technologies from providers like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, PaaS, Open source solutions
  • Experience on streamprocessing systems: Kafka, Apache Storm, Spark-Streaming, Apache Flink, etc.
  • Experience in managing Business critical portfolio(s)
  • Excellent communication skills
