Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Graphic & Museum Designer to join our team. As a Graphic & Museum Designer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative designs for museums and graphics that enhance the visitor experience and convey information effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Design museum exhibits, displays, signage, and interpretive materials to communicate complex ideas and information in a visually compelling manner.
  • Develop graphic materials such as brochures, maps, posters, and digital media assets to promote museum exhibits and events.
  • Collaborate with curators, historians, and content experts to translate concepts and narratives into visually appealing designs.
  • Conduct research on historical and cultural themes to inform design concepts and ensure accuracy and authenticity.
  • Create 2D and 3D renderings, layouts, and mock-ups to visualize design concepts and facilitate stakeholder feedback.
  • Utilize graphic design software and tools to create high-quality, print-ready materials and digital assets.
  • Coordinate with printers, fabricators, and other vendors to produce and install exhibit components and graphics.
  • Ensure consistency in branding and design standards across all museum exhibits and promotional materials.
  • Stay updated on emerging design trends, technologies, and best practices in museum exhibit design and graphic design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the overall success of museum projects through creative design solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Architecture or equivalent.
  • M.Phil/Ph.D/Post-Doctoral in the same field is preferable.
  • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in designing museums and graphics.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong conceptualization and visualization skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to translate complex concepts into visually appealing designs.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and willingness to experiment with new ideas and techniques.
