We are looking for a Staff AI Engineer to join our Data Science team, reporting to the Director of Data Science. In this role, you will turn ideas into AI solutions by working with our Software Engineering and Product teams. Play a critical role in setting the direction and goals for our AI Ops and Generative AI efforts, focusing on project impact and ML system design

Adapt standard machine learning methods to harness the full potential of cloud computing and GPUs

Lead the development of ML best practices and positively influence our engineering culture, fostering collaboration, feedback, and continuous improvement

Develop highly scalable classifiers and tools, using machine learning, data regression, and rules-based models, to address recommendation, classification, and optimization challenges

Suggest, collect, and synthesize requirements, create a practical feature roadmap, and work in tandem with the Engineering team to deliver ML solutions

What You'll Bring:

Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering or a relevant field, or 5 years of experience with a PhD

Minimum 4 years of experience in machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, data mining, artificial intelligence, NLP, or related technical fields

Demonstrated experience in developing machine learning models at scale, from inception to achieving business impact

Knowledge of developing and debugging in both Spark and Python

Proven experience in technical leadership, project ownership, and setting technical direction for teams

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a relevant technical field

Master's degree or Ph.D. in computer science or related technical field preferred

Exposure to architectural patterns or large-scale software applications preferred
