Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced developer to join our team as a Front End Software Development Engineer II in our aiStudio Team. You will be part of the Global Product and Technology unit, contributing to building cutting-edge services for our largest customers. AiStudio is the Data Science and Machine Learning (DSML) team's generative AI experimentation platform, encompassing both backend and frontend components that enable users to create bots leveraging various external and in-house LLMs to innovate in this burgeoning GenAI field.

You will:

  • Utilize advanced JavaScript and front-end expertise to develop new features from the ground up and maintain existing components.
  • Collaborate with generative AI and large language model functionalities to create innovative features for our aiStudio platform.
  • Produce high-quality, well-tested code that is easily readable and maintainable.
  • Work closely with UX teams and Product Management to shape the ideal user experience for our customers.
  • Write unit, automated, and integration tests, and optimize build size/times.
  • Employ the latest technologies to solve real customer challenges at scale.
  • Maintain focus on production readiness, including Root Cause Analysis, Testing, Monitoring, Reliability, Documentation, and more.
  • Contribute to the team's on-call rotation to enhance incident coverage.

You have:

  • 7 years of software development experience with front-end focus.
  • 5+ years of scalable JavaScript experience.
  • 3+ years of enterprise-level single-page application development using Angular, React, or Vue (3+ experience preferred).
  • 5+ years of Web application development experience, including Typescript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and production readiness.
  • Self-motivation and enthusiasm for enhancing the end customer experience.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with a modern JavaScript framework.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of Web standards and protocols.
