- The primary role of the Pharmacy Billing Specialist is to serve as the liaison between our
- Customer Staffingly, Inc, our members, and providers. This position will be responsible for metrics such as the average speed of answer, average hold time, and average handle time, all to best serve our callers. Other requirements involve the delivery of prompt, accurate, and cost-effective service for clients, and to meet or exceed company and client expectations for service. The individual will use problem-solving skills to resolve issues with diplomacy and accuracy.
- Experience billing for prescription medications and resolving insurance
- rejections.
- Bill insurance plans for regular and specialty medications
- Calculate day supplies and type prescription labels
- Resolve insurance rejections
- Motivation to grow
- Perform other job-related duties as required.
- Maintain awareness of and ensure adherence to standards regarding privacy.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
- 3-5 plus years of experience billing prescriptions (retail and/or specialty experience
- preferred)
- Experience with billing facilities (Hospitals)
- Experience resolving insurance rejections
- Experience calculating day supplies
- Knowledge of sig codes
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel & Internet Explorer
- Strong prioritizing & organizational skills
- Excellent customer service & telephone skills
