About the Role:

As the Lead of Global Supply Chain Planning - Emerging Markets, you will be instrumental in overseeing and optimizing our supply chain operations across multiple regions.

Your role involves developing and executing supply chain strategies, ensuring a smooth flow of our essential products. This position necessitates strong leadership, strategic planning, and in-depth knowledge of biologics manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Devise and implement global supply planning strategies in line with business goals and market demands.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to align supply chain operations with sales, marketing, and production targets.
  • Inventory Optimization: Establish inventory management policies to enhance inventory levels without compromising service standards, working capital, and supply chain expenses.
  • Implement inventory control measures to reduce obsolescence and losses.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Identify areas for process enhancement and efficiency within the global supply chain.
  • Deploy best practices, utilize technological solutions, and lead continuous improvement endeavors to boost supply chain effectiveness and agility.
  • Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate potential supply chain risks to minimize disruptions in product supply.
  • Keep a close watch on market trends, geopolitical shifts, regulatory updates, and other external factors that might impact supply chain activities.
  • Stakeholder Management:

Stakeholder Management:
Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams, including manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and quality assurance units.

  • Work closely with commercial teams to grasp market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting: Set up key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supply planning performance and ensure accountability.
  • Provide regular updates on performance and insights to senior management, pinpointing areas for enhancement and growth opportunities.
  • Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related fields such as Engineering.
  • A Master's degree is highly preferred.
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in supply chain planning, particularly in biologics, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare sectors.
  • Successful track record in leading global supply chain planning activities, encompassing demand prediction, inventory control, and capacity planning.
  • Solid understanding of biologics manufacturing procedures, including upstream and downstream operations, cold chain logistics, and regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, proven ability to build and lead high-performance teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, making data-driven decisions and managing complex supply chain situations.
  • Proficiency in supply chain planning tools and systems like ERP, MRP, APS, along with advanced skills in SAP IBP, Microsoft Excel, and data analysis tools like MS PowerBI or equivalents.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management proficiencies, adept at collaborating across departments and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Proactive and results-oriented approach, focused on continuous improvement and thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Desirable certifications such as APICS (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) or SCOR-P.
