Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team at Autodesk Bengaluru, India.

We are looking for Engineers who love finding efficient, scalable and thoughtful solutions to a variety of technical and product challenges.

As Principal Backend Engineer, you will work to deliver top quality Web and Cloud Software.

You will be working as Principal Engineer on a full stack scrum team and contributing directly to the maturity of Autodesk Construction Cloud – Cost Management product.

You will be dealing with problems of scale, service sustainability, and directly be part of team that will work on continuously evolving solutions to manage construction cost workflows such as budget, contract, change orders, payment application and forecast, etc.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop high-level designs and implement high scalable web and cloud solutionsCollaborate with architects, product designers, product managers, engineers to implement high-quality solutionsProvide leadership to the team in conjunction with Development Manager, Product Owner and ArchitectProactively and continuously evaluate and address issues related to performance, stability, scalability, and extensibility of the systemsResearch and prototype new ideas, technologies and patterns relating to the taskTake full ownership of the initiative and deliver it end to end solutionMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline from reputed engineering college8+ years of strong programming skills in Web and Cloud TechnologiesStrong in OOAD concepts and methodologiesHands-on experience in NodeJS preferred or a desire to learnHands-on experience of developing RESTful web services and integrating the same with heterogeneous clientsHands-on experience with Relational database technologies e.g.

PostgresHands-on experience with object caching technologies such as RedisHands-on experience with Build and CI/CD tools like Ant, Gradle, Docker, JenkinsHands-on Experience with Amazon web services - ECS, Lambda, Front, S3, SQS, etcPreferred experience with log aggregation and operational event monitoring technologies like Splunk or New RelicWorking knowledge of UML, software design patterns, distributed systems, resiliency and securityFamiliarity with the software development process, including specification, quality assurance, and documentationStrong communication skills with the ability to converse fluently with multiple types of audiences ranging from managers, architects, and partnersFlexibility under changing conditions and the ability to multi-task between projectsPreferred QualificationsNice to have experience with JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, , ReduxExperience in Agile Scrum development methodology is a plusKeen interest in new technologies and their timely adoptionAbility to convert complex software solutions into well-written technical design documents
