Job Description:
Looking for a skilled individual to join our team as a Frontend Developer with expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript, specifically for integrating Office js API.

  • Candidate must have experience in:
  • C for backend logic or advanced Office plugin development using Visual Studio Tools for Office VSTO

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize HTML and CSS to create user interfaces within Office applications or web-based interfaces for add-ons
  • Integrate external services with Office plugin add-ons using RESTful APIs

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in creating add-ins for Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc., using Office js API
  • Experience with VSTO for building Office plugins using .NET languages like C

Additional Skills:
  • Experience with O365 ecosystem and WOPI Integration for document management
  • Ability to develop connectors and APIs for secure file sharing and collaboration within O365 ecosystem
  • Debugging and troubleshooting integration issues related to O365 WOPI and custom applications

Office Plugin Development:
  • Create custom plugins for Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook using VSTO, Office js, or similar frameworks
  • Enhance productivity by integrating custom features and automation tasks within Office applications
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure compatibility across different Office versions and platforms

Version Control:
  • Utilize Git for collaborative development and version control

Debugging and Testing:
  • Understand how to debug JavaScript and TypeScript code within browsers or Office applications
  • Write and execute unit tests to ensure code reliability and functionality

UI/UX Design:
  • Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces within Office applications
  • Test user interactions to ensure smooth integration with Office UI guidelines

Security:
  • Implement secure authentication mechanisms using OAuth for external services
  • Ensure encryption of sensitive data when stored or transmitted

Documentation and Communication:
  • Document code, APIs, and user guides for plugin add-ons
  • Utilize collaboration tools such as GitHub, Microsoft Teams, or JIRA

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development with expertise in C, .NET framework, and WPF
  • Strong proficiency in developing Office plugins using VSTO, Office js, or similar frameworks
  • Experience with O365 suite, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and O365 WOPI integration
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
