Job Description:
Broadcom's Software Defined Edge (SDE) business unit is looking for a System Test Engineer to automate, test and verify Telco Cloud Platform products.
A solid understanding of Kubernetes, Containers, Virtualization , Testcase Automation, Software Engineering Principles, Test Engineering and System Quality Assurance knowledge is required for planning, automating, executing, and reporting. Knowledge about Network Functions, Sol Standards, NFVO and other 5G Standards will be added advantage.
The candidate will be part of the QA solution test team responsible for writing, enhancing and maintaining the automation framework, developing test scripts, utilities, and driving other initiatives to help validate customer scenarios.
We will expect you to learn about Network Functions, vSphere, NSX-T, TKG products, Kubernetes, the technologies we use, the process we follow and the quality standards we aim for.
By using our test automation framework, you will be able to define and automate the most common testing scenarios.
What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
Create end-to-end scenarios for customer testing You will contribute to the development, enhancement and maintenance of an automated testing framework using Python or Java for deployment, upgrade, and end-to-end testing. Automation development and maintenance of test cases Document and implement code for infra automation, and testbed set-up for customer deployment topologies Learn about different 5G products from different 5G vendors and test their integration with TCA Platform Participate in all team scrum and team-wide forums Provide feedback and improve technical documents Participate in occasional meetings to resolve customer issues with significant impact. Using tools such as Kubernetes, GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, etcSkills & Experience Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent technical training 3-6 years of experience with 1-2 years focusing on test automation and test framework development Test development for Large scale web-enabled distributed systems Good knowledge in Core Java/Python/Go Previous experience with VMware vSphere, NSX, vSAN will be added advantage. Knowledge about 5G technologies and standards will be added advantage. Previous experience in solution testing will be added advantageBroadcom is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
