Position Overview:
As the Learning & Development Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the
professional growth and success of our workforce. Responsible for crafting and
executing a comprehensive Learning & Development strategy, you will empower
employees to excel in technical proficiency, behavioural acumen, leadership capabilities,
and organisational effectiveness. This role is instrumental in driving our ambitious
growth vision and ensuring that our workforce remains at the forefront of industry
trends and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Management:
Forge strong partnerships with department heads, project managers, and team leads to
discern training needs and tailor programs accordingly. Foster collaborative
relationships to ensure seamless coordination and support across all levels of the
organisation.

Planning and Curriculum Development:
Design bespoke training programs and materials aligned with organisational objectives
and industry benchmarks. Conduct thorough needs assessments, identify skill gaps, and
formulate learning objectives to drive professional development initiatives.

Training Delivery:
Deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and classes, both in-person and virtually,
to equip employees with the requisite knowledge and skills. Collaborate with external
vendors to enhance training effectiveness and facilitate knowledge transfer.

Evaluating Training Effectiveness:
Utilise various evaluation methods to gauge the impact and efficacy of training
programs. Analyse feedback and performance metrics to refine future training
endeavours and ensure continuous improvement.

Managing Training Infrastructure:
Oversee the maintenance of training equipment, software, and facilities to ensure
optimal delivery of technical training. Liaise with IT teams and external vendors to
uphold technological readiness and accessibility.

Tracking Training Progress:
Maintain meticulous records of employee participation, progress, and certification
attainment. Generate insightful reports on training metrics to track performance
improvements and inform strategic decision-making.

Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts:
Engage with internal and external subject matter experts to develop and validate
training content. Harness their expertise to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and
currency of training materials.

Staying Updated on Learning ; Technology Advancements:
Remain abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving learning
methodologies. Integrate innovative practices into training programs to uphold our
commitment to excellence.

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in relevant technologies and experience in coordinating technical
training within a corporate environment.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to train effectively.

  • Strong interpersonal acumen and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all
levels.

  • Track record of implementing innovative training techniques and learning
technologies.

  • Familiarity with training-related offerings in the market and experience in needs
analysis.

  • Demonstrated leadership in program design and delivery.
  • Aptitude for refining processes and systems to optimise learning outcomes.
  • Proficiency in tracking L&D data and generating insightful reports.
  • A keen understanding of learning & development trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
  • Management degree is highly preferred.
  • Additional certifications in training are advantageous.
