PROFILE:

You graduated with a Master's in Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, or Interaction/Experience Design.
You have a strong portfolio of past visual and user experience design work.

You are comfortable with systemic design methods and open frame design challenges and can work in ambiguous, dynamic and complex problem contexts.

You show great empathy and know that the user experience is front and center for your work.
You foster collaboration and are considered a good communicator/storyteller.

You are willing to engage and develop your team during innovation projects to come up collectively with new, disruptive ideas.

You want to ensure accountability

COMPETENCES:

You have a deep understanding of:
Several Design Crafts.
Design Practice & Methods (processes, methods & practices).

Design Thinking, Innovation, Creativity, Creative problem solving, and design future methods (such as design fiction, strategic foresight & speculative design).

Design Research.
Design Synthesis.
Design Standards (Sustainable Design, Ethics, EcoDesign,)
You are very familiar with user-centered design methodologies and master several design & prototyping tools such as Figma, Axure, Adobe suite, Sketch, FramerX (you may also have knowledge of 3D modelling, e.g. Rhino, Keyshot)
You are able to formulate and test design hypotheses
You can work together with a team throughout the product development process
You can drive design-led innovation activities (such as design thinking, creative workshops,)
You can leverage creative techniques to communicate project outcomes (such as dramatisation of data through visual media, and storytelling techniques)

Deliver design output by:

Generating new ideas, design concepts and prototypes
Producing designs and test specifications for new ideas
Developing design hypotheses, and administering experiments for testing the feasibility of concepts through prototyping
Communicating outcomes of design tests and project implementation
Preparing design plans and specification documents for submission
Preparing communication materials and samples for production

Perform design intelligence for design projects by:
Executing primary and secondary research for data gathering
Designing, Delivering, and participating in design workshops for insights gathering
Consolidating research findings for report preparation
Preparing research reports for circulation to stakeholders
Preparing design visualization for communicating research outcomes
