Summary of This Role

Execute procedures to ensure that all applications under test (AUT) adhere to organizational standards and meet end-user requirements. Conduct thorough software testing to ensure flawless operation and absence of defects. Document and identify all issues for prompt resolution. Provide updates on testing progress and issue resolution to relevant stakeholders. Propose enhancements to current processes and model potential future configurations. Carry out workflow analysis and suggest quality enhancements.

What Part Will You Play?

  • Conduct online, batch, and data verification testing to validate test results, ensuring accuracy and consistency after data migration. Develop test designs and analyze tests for complex project requirements. Collaborate with technical and business teams to address and resolve complex issues or system defects identified during testing. Design contingency plans as necessary.
  • Analyze requirements to devise complex testing strategies for internal and external clients. Demonstrate expertise in structured analysis and design related to test design. Identify interrelations between system functional components and project requirements to determine the most suitable testing methodology for execution and validation. Perform risk analysis for integrated testing.
  • Recommend design processes for improved efficiency, performance, and reliability. Demonstrate strong knowledge of automated testing tools for creating test designs and executing test plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, business, developers, and test analysts to create detailed test plans, conditions, and cases for testing. Develop and apply best practices for test data conditioning and test set execution. Work with programming to set specific account conditions and fulfill special testing requirements for validation.
  • Compile, develop, and document test/defect reports and track all defects through to resolution. Occasionally review documentation such as business and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Maintain and enforce procedures, methodologies, and application standards including payment card industry and security-related compliance in testing activities.
  • Act as a central contact point for moderately complex client projects regarding test activities. Coordinate test activities within the test team, review client test plans, prioritize test execution when needed, and provide feedback to both internal and external clients.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Relevant Experience or Degree in: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or related field; additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • Typically Minimum 4 Years Relevant Experience.
  • Relational databases, Bankcard industry knowledge, and IBM Rational tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Typically Minimum 6 Years Relevant Experience.
  • Relational databases, Bankcard industry knowledge, and IBM Rational tools.
  • International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certification.
